Two Durst machines were purchased from the Perfect Colours stand at Sign and Digital UK 2014 within the first few hours of the event.
The 1.6m Durst Omega 2, a UV-curable engine with LED curing and an extendable gamut, was picked up by Fusion Digital because of its ability to swap between rigid and roll media for sign and display applications. Managing director Darren Taylor cites this flexibility as paramount: "We're experiencing an increasing need for high-resolution images printed on a variety of rigid and flexible substrates with short turnaround times," he explains.
The Durst Rho P10 160, an entry-level industrial flat-bed with optional roll-to-roll printing, was bought by Print and Cut, a Stockport-based business with designs on its continuous productivity features and remarkable uptime.
The Perfect Colours stand at Sign and Digital UK also features the brand new HP Latex 300 range and HP Designjet Z series, announced last week, as well as RIP solutions from Caldera.
