Fujifilm will début its Vybrant F1600 roll-fed machine for the sign and graphics market at FESPA Digital 2014, with the printer being made commercially available in the summer.
The 1.6m CMYK machine has a productivity of up to 18.0sq m per hour and is meant for printing vinyl and other flexible materials. The combination of UV-curable chemistry with an eco-solvent carrier aims to offer vivid colour reproduction and glossy, scratch-resistant output. The engine also features Fujifilm's Fuze technology designed to improve the efficiency of wide-format production.
"The Vybrant F1600 is a highly effective roll-to-roll platform that increases the competitiveness of small and medium wide-format printers," explains Mike Battersby, wide-format marketing manager at Fujifilm speciality ink systems "The durability, flexibility and high gloss finish print produced by the Vybrant F1600 will help companies to take their production performance to the next level and provide customers with quick turnaround jobs."
