Two EFI Fiery digital front ends (DFEs) for Canon's imagePress C700 and C800 have been announced at Canon Europe's Canon for Business 2014 customer and partner event in Poing, Germany.
They are the first DFEs built using EFI's Fiery FS150 Pro platform, and have been given a 100 percent perfect pass label from VIGC's PDF RIP audit. A greyscale composite overprint feature has been added, ensuring correct monochrome printing of overprints, drop shadows and transparencies.
EFI's latest version of its JDF-certified Fiery technology is included in the new servers, which can connect imagePress workflows on a company-wide scale to simplify and streamline production rates.
"Through the powerful combination of the new imagePress C800 and C700 digital colour machines and the imagePress Server F200 and G100, our customers will realise these benefits as well as the opportunity to introduce new services and revenue streams," states Mark Lawn, European and UK marketing director for professional print solutions at Canon Europe.
"The EFI Fiery FS150 platform's advanced, industry-leading performance helps Canon imagePress C800 and C700 users offer extremely high quality while driving productivity and profits," adds Georg Hollenbach, managing director at EFI Germany.
