ROLAND DG LOOKS BACK ON A VERY SUCCESSFUL FESPA DIGITAL 2014
Jun 03 2014 14:52:59 , 1057

Roland DG says it is looking back with 'great satisfaction' at FESPA Digital in Munich.  Many visitors stopped at the stand and, in particular, the PRO4 series of eco-solvent printers and the VersaUV LEF-20 flatbed printer garnered a lot of interest.

Visitors to the Roland DG stand stepped into a colourful underwater world with a gigantic, wrapped anchor as its central feature.

“We invited all of the visitors to come and take their bearings at our stand and to discover the treasure trove of possibilities that awaited them there. The fact is, the opportunities that digital printing offers are endless and profitable. And the right knowledge, equipment and support is like having the wind in your sails,” says Marketing Coordinator Karel Sannen.

Roland DG demonstrated its flagship printers, known throughout the world for their great reliability and their excellent quality.

The SOLJET PRO4 XR-640 was one of the top attractions. This printer/cutter offers a combination of razor-sharp print quality and high productivity. The XR-640 uses the new ECO-SOL MAX2 ink in white, metallic silver and light black, among others. This opaque white ink produces beautiful effects on both transparent and coloured media. Metallic silver can be used to simulate gold, bronze, copper and more than 500 other metallic colours. Light black ink creates beautiful grey gradations and is ideal for black and white images.

All of these ink colours are also available on the new VersaCAMM VS-i series. These printers/cutters are of the highest quality and are very affordably priced. Posters, stickers, heat transfers and banners are only a few of the possible applications.

The VersaUV LEF-20 was also the centre of a great deal of attention from the visitors.

“At times, there was quite a throng during demonstrations of the LEF-20,” says Karel Sannen. “This compact flatbed printer for gadgets, promotional gifts and prototypes opens up a treasure trove of possibilities for the users. You can print on an endless number of objects and types of materials. At the show itself, we printed on iPhone covers, golf balls and pens, but you can also print on glass and metal after applying a primer.”
