Family-run print house Plus2Print has invested in a Mimaki CJV30 after a chance encounter at a set of traffic lights.
"We just saw a Dennis D Evans van parked at a set of traffic lights and I knocked on the window for a brochure," explains Gavin Oakes, owner of Plus2Print. “We were looking at wide-format to push our business forward to the next level, having been mainly print and design for 20 years.
"Meeting the Dennis D Evans guys was a real breakthrough – vehicle graphics are great way of strengthening any company’s brand and giving a business a professional image; all of which can now be done with our Mimaki."
Following the chance encounter, Oakes visited the Mimaki reseller and saw first-hand the range on offer, making a purchase of a CVJ30 shortly thereafter.
The CVJ30 can print at production speeds of up to 17.5sq m/h using Mimaki's SS21 solvent inks. It comes with the company's RasterLink Pro RIP software and a two-year gold warranty as standard. It is available in widths from 0.6m to 1.6m.
"It’s a great illustration of what good vehicle graphics can do for your business,” comments Frank Wilson, manager of Dennis D Evans. “It was a refreshing example of how you mustn’t overlook more conventional marketing means, and a perfect opportunity for us to show Plus2Print how a Mimaki CJV30 could enable them to produce high quality vehicle graphics for their customers, in addition to a whole host of other applications."
