Gravotech has launched ArtFoil, an engraving and foiling system for transferring matte or glossy colours onto flat and 3D objects.

While developed as an accessory for its M40 DeepVice machine, the complete system incorporating the machine and the engraving software add-on is also available. The hot-foiling technique involves embellishing the object, using its colour foil for hot stamping, before engraving a designed created using Gravostyle software onto the product.

The colour can be applied either to an entire series or a single object, with applications expected to include personalisation for luxury goods.
