NEC has released two MultiSync LCD screens and a large venue projector as it looks to grow its portfolio of 4K displays.
The 84" (213cm) X841UHD and 98" (248cm) X841UHD MultiSync displays are the largest screens in NEC's range of 4K displays, offering a screen resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. As with NEC's other products in the MultiSync stable, the two screens feature HDMI and DisplayPort connectivity as well as support for open pluggable specification (OPS) slot-in media players.
The PH1201QL becomes NEC's first compact 4K laser projector and uses a hybrid blue laser light source to provide 12,000 lumen brightness.
"The display industry will mark the year 2014 as the one in which 4K really took off," believes Stefanie Corinth, senior vice-president for marketing and business development at NEC Display Solutions Europe. "We can now offer a broad portfolio of products and solutions ranging from smaller desktop sizes to larger format displays, and even powerful laser projectors for the largest image demands."
