DCL Print has invested in a Fujifilm Acuity LED 1600 following an increase in demand for wide-format applications which, previously, the company had outsourced.
The UV-curable Acuity LED 1600 incorporates six ink channels, including white and clear, and outputs at 20sq m per hour with a maximum resolution of up to 1,200dpi. Simon Smode, managing director of DCL, explains that the machine will enable the company to produce posters and display prints 'quickly and efficiently'.
"The print quality achievable with the Acuity LED 1600 is fantastic," Smode states. "We can use both flexible and rigid media to produce different jobs in the most cost-effective way.
"We want to make the most of the new machine and it’s great to liaise with a company that can meet our production requirements. We are planning to use flexible substrates such as films, banners and wallpapers, and we’re delighted that we can turn to Fujifilm for this too," he concludes.
The Redhill-based trade house, whose traditional business is in security, label and direct mail printing, has been a Fujifilm customer since 2007.
