The SureColor is expected to help improve efficiency at the print house
Elephant Print and Display has added an Epson SureColor S50600 printer to complement its portfolio of equipment and improve the company's printing capabilities.
The company based its purchase on environmental factors, as well as what it considered the most appropriate unit to fit with its in-house finishing services. The SC-S50600 is suitable for different substrates for multi-purpose use including vehicle wraps, vinyls, clear film and photographic paper. It runs two sets of CMYK ink simultaneously, printing at speeds of up to 51sq m/hour.
"[The machine] provides us with the ability to produce durable wide-format work onto a wider range of materials," comments Jason Gad, managing director of Elephant. "We have already produced work using digital wallpaper, and also some magnetic vinyls for vehicles, which is a new area for us."
