EFI has brought a raft of tile printing-focused products to Tecnargilla, including ceramic inks, its Cretaprint engine and a new version of EFI Fiery proServer specifically designed for the sector.
EFI Ceramic inks are intended to provide the intense colour required for the industry, with specific inks available including dark blue, reddish brown, golden yellow, beige, pink and black. A range of special effects inks are also available, which include sinking ink, matte or glossy glaze, lustre and an extra-strong white option.
As well as the C3+ and P3+ options, the company's stand will play host to the Creatprint C4 for the first time. Printing to widths of up to 0.745m, the new model is 30 percent lighter than previous versions and boasts a smaller footprint. Among other innovations in the updated version are a revamped vacuum system, a removable frame for facilitating maintenance tasks and improved bar separation to enable mist and steam extraction without affecting print quality.
"Tecnargilla is the ceramics industry's most important event of the year, and EFI's teams are excited to bring so many innovations to the tile manufacturing market," comments Ghilad Dziesnietik, EFI chief technical officer. "We are combining EFI ink expertise, colour management and the best-in-class workflow software in the graphics arts world with our market leading line-up and the industrial robustness of Cretaprint ceramics printing technology."
