Wide format printer maker EFI, Fremont, California, reports that Blue Ocean Worldwide, a wide-format print service provider in Long Island City, New York, has added another new EFI VUTEk printer to its fleet, making a total of six printer installations in less than one year.
“Between our New York and Las Vegas locations, business is booming,” says Dave Stadler, founder and CEO of Blue Ocean Worldwide. “We have just moved into a larger location in Las Vegas and have added another new VUTEk printer to accommodate the growth.”
To introduce customers to its expanded superwide-format print capabilities, the company is hosting an open house event at its new Las Vegas facility Oct. 22. Blue Ocean has doubled the size of its VUTEk fleet in a single year and is expanding its Las Vegas presence.
Blue Ocean’s VUTEk fleet now consists of four VUTEk GS5000r printers, two in New York and two in Las Vegas; a VUTEk GS3250 hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printer in New York; and a VUTEk GS3250LX LED “cool cure” hybrid roll-to-roll/flatbed printer in Las Vegas.
The new Las Vegas facility comprises 25,000 square feet and is located near the airport as well as close to hotels and casinos. The excitement surrounding Blue Ocean’s Las Vegas expansion is shared by partners Howard and Scott Weinstein. By having production locations in the Eastern and Western United States, they feel they can serve their client base in an extremely timely and cost-effective manner.
