NVBots has launched Fundable, a campaign to raise money for the manufacturing of its NVPrinters, which are to be used for educational purposes at low-income state schools around Boston, USA. The company has also developed a 3D printing-based curriculum as part of its efforts to promote the medium to the next generation.

Advertising Club OOH Showdown set to go
The Advertising Club of Toronto is set to host the third annual Out-of-home Showdown on October 9th. The competition will recognise outdoor advertising campaigns executed in Canada over the past year, with seven different categories – including static, digital and experiential – to be awarded.
Google 'considering move into digital signage'
Numerous sources have reported on the rumour that Google is working on a Lego-inspired display system, made up of small screen 'blocks' that can be combined to form a unified object. As yet the technology giant has not revealed publicly if this is, indeed, currently in development.
Scala deploys Info-TV digital network in Hovedstaden region of Denmark
Scala will implement an extensive digital signage network – spanning 500 screens in 20 medical facilities – in the Hovedstaden region of Denmark, in a bid to enhance patient experience of the public healthcare system. The project will require 520 Scala media players and will be centrally managed by Scala's system integrator Atea.

FESPA launches mini-format Planet Friendly Guide
FESPA will re-release its Planet Friendly Guide in a brochure format, with the series reconfigured to feature an introductory guide and ten further subject-specific guides, with titles including 'Pollution for digital printers', 'Energy for screen and digital printers' and 'Waste for digital printers'. The guides form part of FESPA’s environmental scheme and are currently only available in English.
Kodak announces upgrades to Nexpress
Kodak has released enhancements to its Nexpress Digital Production Color Press Platform. The improvements, which include a new dura-coat mode and broader long-sheet capability, as well as an automated cleaning module for the imaging cylinder, will be incorporated as standard features on all Nexpress printers built in 2015.
Biggest show yet expected by Sign and Digital UK
The organisers of SDUK have revealed that its 2015 show is likely to be its biggest yet with over 100 exhibitors already confirmed. Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on March 24 – 26th 2015, names currently on the list include returning brands Art Systems, HP, PrintMax and Perfect Colours.
