Stow, Ohio-based MACtac Distributor Products announces its part in an HP-led project to transform an MRI machine room at a Spanish hospital into a space-themed work of art that kids should find much less frightening.
In June of this year HP initiated the project, aimed at improving the comfort of the young patients visiting the Sant Joan de Deù Children’s Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. The updated facilities changed the MRI room at the hospital into what’s now called the “Spatial Zone,” a place where children can make believe they are an astronaut instead of a planet.
MACtac, a leading supplier of pressure-sensitive materials, donated its trademarked IMAGin RoughRAP to the project and Spanish company demibold printed the space-themed, self-adhesive films using HP Latex Inks.
MACtac’ IMAGin RoughRAP is a 2.1-millimeter gloss white, high-performance vinyl designed for signage, murals, and point-of-purchase graphics on brick walls and rough-textured surfaces.
In other MACtac news, the company announces it has completed the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council’s (PSTC) Responsible Tape Manufacturer (RTM) program to assure customers they receive quality, responsibly produced products.
The RTM program is a PSTC commitment that assures the industry will receive quality tape products from a company that adheres to responsible manufacturing practices and ethical treatment of workers and the environment.
