Roland DG launched DisplayStudio at Viscom in Frankfurt. DisplayStudio is a user-friendly, digital signage solution and winner of a BEST of 2014 Award. The new Texart RT-640 textile printer was also on display for the first time at a trade fair in Germany. The feedback was very positive.
Viscom BEST of 2014 Award for Roland DisplayStudio
Roland DG's DisplayStudio won the Viscom Best of 2014 Award in the Software category. This package for digital signage was launched at the trade show, which took place from 5 to 7 November at Frankfurt Messe. DisplayStudio includes easy-to-use software, a powerful digital media player and LED screen developed especially for digital signage. The jury described it as a simple starter's package with an attractive price/performance ratio.
Presentation of new sublimation printer
The brand new Texart RT-640 （64” or 162.5 cm wide） attracted many interested visitors. The Texart RT-640 is a sublimation printer that produces beautiful print quality, stunning colours and extremely stable production runs. Applications vary from sportswear, soft signage and fashion items to interior decoration and promotional items.
The RT-640 is available with the new Texart ink in four （CMYK） or in eight （CMYKLcLm, Orange and Violet） colours. The addition of orange and violet offers an exceptionally wide colour range, allowing you to print vivid colours with exceptionally high contrast. Also, the user has two options for the RIP software: the Ergosoft Roland Edition or the Roland VersaWorks.

Interest in a 3D printer
In addition to “full colour” printing, a good deal of attention was also paid to 3D printing. In fact, Roland DG exhibited its first 3D printer ever, the monoFab ARM-10. The machine was displayed next to the monoFab SRM-20, the new desktop milling machine from Roland DG. With the SRM-20, items are created by removing media （subtractive）， and with the ARM-10 by adding media （additive）。 Thanks to the choice of these two working methods, Roland DG can always offer the best solution for the customer's application.
