Outdoor Media Centre expands missing person alerts as it tops 200 success stories

220 missing people featured across DOOH sites in the UK have been found, following an extensive partnership between the Outdoor Media Centre and the Missing People charity.

Launched in August 2012, the project allocates unsold advertising space from media owners to the charity, which broadcasts appeals targeted to the specific region in which the missing person was last seen. The creative and the OpenLoop CMS for the campaign is also provided free of charge, the latter courtesy of Grand Visual.

Moving forward, the campaign will start adding child rescue alerts, a service requested by local police forces, in collaboration with the National Crime Agency and charity Groupcall.

"We are very happy to have been able to support such a worthwhile initiative, which continues to have such a great impact on so many lives," opines Bill Wilson, operations director at the Outdoor Media Centre. "As an industry, we look forward to reaching countless more milestones in the future."
