Rockville, Maryland-based Contex, a manufacturer of wide-format scanning and imaging solutions, announces the appointment of Shea Vara as director of channel sales for Contex Americas.

Vara brings more than 20 years experience in technology to her position at Contex, having worked at Capitol Office Solutions, a Xerox company; OKI Data Americas; and Ricoh Americas. In her new role Vara will work closely with Contex’s distributors to help get more Contex scanners into the hands of its customers, including reprographics and copy shops; GIS and AEC; government; manufacturers; and fine arts markets.
