On the road again: FESPA's Print Inspiration Rally to seduce creatives
Nov 28 2014 11:16:27 , 1900

The organisers are hoping show the different possibilties with print by bringing the applications up close and personal

FESPA has launched a new initiative to raise the awareness of printable applications among designers, interior decorators and creatives. The organisation has decked out an American-style school bus with printed artwork from Egue y Seta, a Spanish design studio, in collaboration with EFI, Epson, Roland, Agfa, CMA Imaging and UK print house ARC.

With the not-for-profit venture, the association hopes to demonstrate the effects achievable using glass, wood, textile, metal and ceramics. The project is set to launch at the Printed Interior Decoration event by ESMA in Düsseldorf, Germany on November 26th – 27th where FESPA general secretary Sean Holt will address attendees with a presentation explaining the premise of the initiative. From there, the bus will tour different events until it concludes at FESPA 2015 in Cologne, Germany, in May.

"Print Inspiration Rally is a fantastic visual illustration of print used to decorate materials and surfaces in ways designers and their clients may not have previously considered to transform any environment," states Duncan MacOwan, head of events and new media at FESPA. "As an exhibition organiser we know that the best way to see innovative opportunities and applications is up front and personal.
