Arrow Digital and Seiko I InfoTech Inc. unveiled the next generation Seiko M64s for the first time in India at Media Expo Mumbai. The M-64s is a low odor mild-solvent, high-speed inkjet printer. The features and specifications of the Seiko M64s were built on three guiding principles, “Fast”, “Precise” and “Reliable”.
The new Seiko M-64s offers 64-inch (162cm) wide printing in 6 colors (CMYK, Lc, Lm), with speeds up to 49.7m2 (535 sfph). The high speed printing capability of the M-64s was developed specifically to address the growing demand for high productivity from the signage and indoor graphics markets.
The all new WX eco-solvent inks achieve the fastest printing speed in their class in saleable image quality, with high density, vivid colours, superior dry times and low running costs. They also offer up to three-year outdoor durability without lamination. Overall, the print quality is extremely good, with excellent vibrant colours that really seem to leap off the page. The high quality mode is easily good enough for photographic work, while the standard mode is more than adequate for most point of sale and display signage.
Specifically, Seiko has been focusing on the printing speed on PVC since it is the most popular material for signage and vehicle applications, and traditionally it is the most difficult to print on. The M-64s prints at the fastest sellable speed in its class on PVC using low-odor, mild-solvent inks, creating stunningly rich, bold colors that last longer outdoors.
Besides raw speed, the M-64s offers over 100 improvements towards functional productivity; Seiko engineers carefully and thoroughly reviewed all workflow steps such as loading media, adjustments, printing, drying, winding media and unloading media and made improvements to improve efficiency and ease-of-use. The results are the most refined Seiko printer ever produced.
