Valhalla, New York-based FUJIFILM North America Corp.'s graphics systems division recently hosted another in its series of technology summits at the company’s recently built Chicago Technology Center.
The summit focused on wide format inkjet technology. A record number of invited guests were able to gain in-depth knowledge of wide format applications and learn how to best serve that fast-growing market. Detailed presentations included different substrates used, software – including ColorGATE Production Server 9 – and finishing solutions featuring the Esko Kongsberg cutting table.
There were also hands-on demonstrations of Fujifilm’s wide format printers, including the Inca Onset R40i and the Q40i; the Acuity series of flatbeds; the Acuity LED 1600; and an overview of the Uvistar grand format press.
Along with the interactive demonstrations there was a customer user panel question-and-answer session and presentations by John Mills, CEO of Inca Digital; Steve Bennet, vice president of Esko’s digital finishing business; and Steve Urmano, director of wide format for InfoTrends.
“The Fujifilm technology summits are a great opportunity to learn about our innovative technology and experience the latest solutions,” says Becky McConnell, product marketing manager, wide format, for FUJIFILM North America’s graphic systems division. “Attendees can truly see how our product line-up can help them win more work.”
