Scottsdale, Arizona-based laser engraving equipment manufacturerUniversal Laser Systems announces its support of the state-of-the-art “maker space” exhibit known as CREATE at the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix, where science, design, and engineering collide. Universal has donated a new VLS4.60 laser engraver for use at CREATE, a 6,500 square-foot community space inspired by the productivity of an inventor’s workshop, the creativity of an art studio, the experimentation of a lab, and the connectivity of a commons. Its mission, say the founders, is "turning dreams into reality."
The donation to this highly anticipated, downtown community gathering place will encourage people to learn new skills to bring their most creative ideas to life. The space is specifically designed to serve children, teens, adults, and educators. CREATE is based on the principal of learning by doing.
Chris Campbell, sales engineering manager for Universal Laser Systems, says “We believe in the advancement of digital laser processing technology through interactive educational experiences like those offered by the CREATE program. Universal Laser Systems is proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the Arizona Science Center. This new addition to the Center will spark the imagination and creativity in both young and old.”
Universal Laser Systems will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting and CREATE grand opening events September 26, 2015.
