Brookings, South Dakota-based Daktronics, a manufacturer of EMC and electronic display systems of all types, has partnered with the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to replace and upgrade the venue’s marquee display. The installation doubled the display’s resolution from 9,200 pixels to 18,400 pixels, giving it the ability to show much crisper wording, making messages easier to read.

The display features 16-millimeter line spacing, an increase from the previously existing 25-millimeter display, and measures 6’ high by 11’ wide. Daktronics’ environmental protection features are embedded, making for a long lifetime of consistent performance and low power consumption.

The Broadmoor World Area is the largest entertainment and sports venue in the Pikes Peak region. It’s home toColorado College Tigers hockey, the Broadmoor Skating Club and has featured a variety of top-shelf acts and performers. It has more than 7,300 fixed seats and room on the area floor for another 2,000.
