A public auction has been set for Sept. 29 for the assets of garment industry supplier Avid Ink, based in Corona, California.
Founded in 1997, Avid Ink had been a world leader in designing, creating and transferring photographic and other images to apparel. The company’s designs have been featured on the racks of some of the world’s biggest retailers, including Target, Kohl’s and Neiman Marcus.
“While the company’s primary focus was on heat transfer and silk screening for printed textiles, it also produced its own commercial print products and, therefore, had equipment suitable for printers, graphic artists and small businesses,” says Jeff Tanenbaum, president of Tiger Remarketing Services, the company running the auction.
Dye sublimation heat presses being sold include six Practix Manufacturing rotary heat transfer machines, with 60”, 80”, 84” and 100” belts; eight CA Attachment Co. 45”x57” heat presses; and four CA Attachment Co. 42”x60” heat presses.
Available silk screening equipment includes an M&R Formula 5090 14-color, 16-station rotary silk screen; an M&R graphic screen printing system; and an M&R Chameleon six-color, four-station manual press.
Key commercial printing assets include two 2009 and 2007 KBA Rapida high-speed, sheet-fed offset presses.
Prepress, proofing and platemaking equipment include a 2009 Creo Trendsetter VLF Platesetter; an Epson Stylus Pro 9890 wide format inkjet printer; and four Roland Hi-Fi Jet Pro II digital wide-format inkjet printers.
Paper cutting equipment up for bid includes a Seybold 90” cutter with micro cut program and other accessories and a Seybold Citation 42” cutter with micro cut computer, side tables, power knife and power back gauge.
Material handling equipment to be auctioned off includes a Yale 4,000-pound capacity electric forklift; a 2005 Swift multi-ton lift; and two Prime Mover 2,800-pound capacity electric reach trucks. Hydraulic pallet jacks, tooling and other assets will also be offered for sale.
Items in the company’s fleet that are for sale include two International 4300 trucks; a 2006 Ford Econoline 350 Super Duty Van; and a 1998 Isuzu NPR box truck.
There’s also a great deal of office equipment including computers; servers; voice-over-IP phones; desks; workstations and other furniture; and filing cabinets.
Live bidding will take place at Avid Ink’s headquarters at 231 N. Sherman Ave. in Corona starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Meanwhile, pre-auction bids will be accepted online beginning on Tueday, Sept. 22. To view a complete list of items or for more information, visit www.SoldTiger.com.
