Wraps Project: Majestic Sign Studio Completes Fleet Wrap for Amazon

Corona, California-based Majestic Sign Studio, a full-service sign and wraps shop established in 2012, announces its completion of a fleet wrap job commissioned by Amazon Fresh, the e-commerce company’s grocery delivery service.

In just 35 days since the artwork was approved, Majestic Sign completed all of the work, in which the company delivered full wraps on 24 vans and partial wraps on 55 vans in a variety of locations, including San Diego, Buena Park, Inglewood and the San Francisco area in California, as well as in New Jersey.

In order to win the contract the company had to go through a stringent selection process, which included a thorough review of its physical workspace, where applications, printing resources, workflow procedures, and staff were coordinated and executed. The job also required a high level of flexibility and coordination to ensure minimal disruption to the work flow, as fleet vehicles were taken out of service while the wraps were applied. The company was able to maintain a tight timeline even while coordinating with a number of people, schedules, installers, and locations, extending as far as the East Coast.

“Vehicle wrap advertising is an extremely useful tool that can be done for less than a dollar a day per vehicle,” says Gordy Wolfe, co-owner of Majestic Sign Studio. “Americans spend a lot of time in their cars, which translates into a lot of opportunity to have brand messaging reach commuters.”

He adds that the job called for carefully resizing artwork to match the size and shape of each vehicle.

In addition to the Amazon Fresh permanent fleet wraps, refresher ads were also applied in three locations per vehicle: the passenger and driver rear quarter panels with a third location at the top back portion of each vehicle. The refresher ads promote various partnering companies, including Kraft, Lactaid, California Avocados, and CitiBank. Unlike the permanent wraps, these refresher ads will be replaced on a quarterly basis.
