Brixen, Italy-based Durst, an industrial inkjet printer equipment manufacturer, announces the debut of “Ask Hubi,” a web-based database of more than 1,500 tested roll media available to customers of its Rho roll-to-roll printing systems.
There are more than 600 Rho installations across the globe. The new database, free to Rho users, archives roll media that has been tested in Durst’s demo center in Brixen and categorized for optimum performance, depending on the application. Customers will be able to access the database online and then make a selection according to material manufacturer, media type and area of application and then download the data as a PDF file. This will avoid having to conduct protracted tests or long sampling processes.
The roll media database has been named “Ask Hubi” in reference to Hubert Fischer, the technical head of Durst’s media sampling department, who has been working in the company’s demo center for more than a decade and has tested every conceivable roll-based material over the years.
