Placentia, California-based Arlon, a maker of pressure-sensitive vinyl films, flexible substrates and other print media, recently hosted a vehicle wraps contest featuring some of the top installers from all over the world. Six teams of five installers each competed for the titles of “best quality wrap” and “most creative wrap” in what the company called the Arlon Automotive World Wrap Mania competition.
The team from The Wrap Society, led by captain Niel Scotto of ND Vinyls, was awarded “Best Quality Wrap” and Team R.I.C.O., led by captain Carl Brewer of The Wrap Installers, won for “Most Creative Wrap.”
The competition was held in the Arlon booth at the 2015 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
The Arlon Automotive World Wrap Mania competition was the first chance for the installers to work with the company’s newly released Ultimate PremiumPlus Silver Chrome film, as well as other favorites including Blue Aluminum and Toxic Green. Each team had to wrap half of a vehicle in a three-hour time frame, including some of the most complex parts of the vehicle.
A team of Arlon Automotive specialists judged each team’s execution on quality and creative design.
