Fremont, California-based EFI, a wide-format printer manufacturer and productivity software developer, says it expects a record number of attendees at next week’s EFI Connect user’s conference.
In 2015 more than 1,500 people attended the annual conference, which is set for Jan. 19-22 at the Wynn in Las Vegas. More attendees are scheduled this year.
This year more than 200 sessions are being offered – more than at any other Connect conference.
The company says the expanded slate of educational opportunities is tied into the newer, advanced workflow technologies in EFI’s Productivity Suite, which was introduced at last year’s Connect conference. The company also has new sessions addressing fabric graphic display applications that come with EFI Reggiani technology, a segment that is only in the early stages of analog-to-digital transition.
This year’s Connect conference is also scheduled to be the most international in the 16-year history of the event, drawing attendees from some 30 countries.
EFI has been in charge of Connect since 2003, when it purchased Printcafe Software Inc., which had been operating the Printcafe User’s Conference. Two years later EFI went from a software company targeting the printer market to a printer manufacturer itself when it bought out VUTEk.
