Sign & Graphic Imaging Middle East 2016 (SGI Dubai) was the 6th stop of DPES Overseas promotion. Being its 19th session, SGI Dubai 2106 was held on Jan. 10-12 at Dubai World Trade Centre, with 6 halls including Hall 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. No matter the scale or exhibitor numbers, it has been enlarged than before.
Dubai World Trade Centre is composed of three buildings: Dubai World Trade Center Main Building, Dubai International Conference Center and Dubai International Expo Center. Almost all the international big shows in UAE are held here.
SGI Dubai is the largest international sign expo in Middle East. The scale of SGI Dubai 2016 was almost 30,000 sqm, with over 260 exhibitors from UAE, Egypt, Austria, Canada, China, France, Iraq, Korea, India, etc. There were around 30,000 professional buyers all over the world during the three show days.
As its show time is only one month between DPES Sign & LED Expo China 2016 which is the best time for overseas visitors to arrange their trip, and the purchase power of Middle East and Africa clients has been gradually increased in recent years, DPES could attract lots of potential visitors from SGI Dubai.
SGI Dubai 2016’s LED signage was put at the entrance of each halls.
At 11:00 am of the first day, there were already lots of visitors waiting at the registration counter.
DPES’s booth was located at Hall 3. It was a corner booth with 12 sqm.
DPES made a new brochure for SGI Dubai 2016, including important information for visitors, such as floor plan, introduction of the new pre-registration system, transportation guidelines, etc.
As DPES’ booth was not so close to the main entrance, DPES specialists wento the visitor registration center and main aisles to distribute brochures, and put the brothures on the desks and chairs inside the Rest Area. Most of the visitors showed great interest to come to DPES Sign & LED Expo China 2016 and asked us detail information such as visa application and hotel booking.
SGI Dubai 2016 used Hall 3,4,5,6,7,8 of Dubai World Trade Centre. The exhibition area of each hall was different from each other. The six halls were total around 30,000 sqm.

The exhibitors of Hall 3 & 4 were mainly LED manufacturers and Korean companies, and some UAE local distributors and international brand companies, such as Xerox、SCREEN、Giffin Graphics (UAE agent of durst, Epson, dgen).

The international famous brands of printing equipment were located at Hall 5, 6, and 7. When you entered Hall 5, you could see the big booths of HP and Canon, with 208 sqm for each company.

Epson’s newest model: SureColor SC-S40610
Epson’s booth was located at the entrance of Hall 7. Their newest models SureColor S60680 and S40610 were showed at the most prominent place. These two models will also been shown in DPES Sign Expo China 2016.
Because of the importance of Middle East market, SGI Dubai attract many Chinese exhibitors every year. In 2016, there were over 100 Chinese exhibitors located at Hall 8, hence Hall 8 was called “Chinese Hall”.
DPES specialist had a happy conversation about future cooperation with Mr. Sharif Rahman, CEO of SGI Dubai organizer and Ms. DonnaBelle Reye, administration manager. Later we made a photo together with CEO of Thailand Sign Asia organizer and Malaysia Sign Show.
