Irvine, California-based Roland DGA announces two upcoming webinars in the next couple of weeks, the first of which is Tuesday, July 12.
Tuesday’s topic will be “Linearization – The Beginning of Color Profiles.” Attendees will learn how to calibrate their printers with linearization and total ink limit to optimize the color of prints. Geared toward intermediate-level end users, this webinar will cover the following:
-What linearization is, why it’s important, and how it differs from re-linearization
-Tools needed to linearize with ErgoSoft Roland Edition and Roland VersaWorks RIPs
-The step-by-step process for each RIP software
-How to establish the total ink limit after linearization

The second webinar will be on Tuesday, July 26, and is entitled “How to Create Color Profiles.” Attendees will be able to take what they’ve learned about linearization and move on to creating custom color profiles. Designed for advanced users, this webinar will focus on the following:
-Tools needed to create custom color profiles with ErgoSoft Roland Edition and Roland VersaWorks
-The difference between spot color and process color
-Step-by-step process for creating a custom profile
