Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based MCT Digital, a manufacturer of digital, grand-format flatbed cutting systems, announces a partnership with Ottawa, Canada-based Tilia Labs, a pre-press workflow software company.

Tilia brings its new “Griffin for TigerVision” workflow and nesting product to the market, developed for integration with MCT’s TigerVision machine control and vision software for use with the company’s VersaTech machines. The new solution allows designers to accurately nest graphics for print jobs with simplicity of operation and complete control of placement to minimize waste, according to the two companies.

Griffin for TigerVision is built using the Phoenix nesting engine, and includes:

-          Simple design, minimal training

-          True shape nesting with any rotation

-          Highly responsive user interface

-          Barcodes, camera register marks, eyelet marks

Tilia’s software, coupled with a new parametric design software called TigerPack, will bring MCT’s VersaTech product line into full compliance with competitive finishing solutions, the company says.
