Mimaki Uses Presto’s CanvasTac to Decorate L.A. Office

Suwanee, Georgia-based Mumaki USA announces that it used CanvasTac Gold Iridescent material, made by Bensalem, Pennsylvania-based Presto Tape, to decorate its Los Angeles office, as well to showcase the capabilities of its new Mimaki UJV55-320 UV-LED printer.

Mimaki says it has used Presto’s materials in the past, decorating its trade show booths and its New Jersey office with the company’s materials, but it’s the first time it has used the CanvasTac Gold Iridescent.

CanvasTac Gold Iridescent is a 17-mil gold iridescent canvas fabric with a repositionable adhesive. The repositionable adhesive does not grow over time, allowing the wallcovering to be used as a permanent or temporary graphic.

Mimaki USA decorated two walls measuring 21’ x 9’ and 17’ x 9’ with the CanvasTac Gold Iridescent. The material was printed on its new Mimaki UJV55-320 UV-LED printer.

“We were very attracted to the ease of application and removal of this product,” says Hugo Gonzalez, senior applications specialist for Mimaki USA. “We feel that it was in our interest to keep open to design changes on a periodic basis to reflect current promotions and trends.”

The CanvasTac Gold Iridescent was chosen because its light gold tint helps provide a depth to the printed images, and the images adhere well on the canvas texture, Hugo says.

Along with printable wallcoverings, Presto Tape also makes application tapes, surface protection films and specialty tapes.
