Irvine, California – Roland DGA Corporation, a leading provider of advanced wide-format printers and other innovative digital devices, was honored with three prestigious Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Product of the Year awards at the 2016 SGIA Expo in Las Vegas. Roland received its awards for the VersaUV? LEJ-640FT large-format UV flatbed printer in the UV Flatbed (under $100K) category,TrueVIS? INK in the Digital Inks - Solvent/Eco-Solvent/Latex category, and Texart? SBL3 Dye-Sublimation Ink in the Digital Inks - Textile category. The competition, which takes place annually, recognizes equipment and supplies currently on the market that are advancing the specialty imaging industry.

Roland’s VersaUV LEJ-640FT, the winner in the UV Flatbed (under $100K) category, is the industry’s only UV flatbed printer capable of printing directly on substrates and three-dimensional objects up to six inches thick and weighing up to 220 pounds. GREENGUARD Gold certified TrueVIS INK, which took top honors in the Digital Inks – Solvent/Eco-Solvent/Latex category, is designed for use with Roland’s new, state-of-the-art TrueVIS series wide-format printer/cutters. Specially formulated to produce wide-gamut color results, TrueVIS INK ensures vibrant color and outstanding detail while minimizing material costs. In addition, TrueVIS INK dries quickly and lasts up to three years outdoors without lamination.
Roland Texart dye-sublimation ink, developed for use with the company’s Texart RT-640 and XT-640 sublimation printers, also impressed the judges at SGIA 2016, winning in the Digital Inks - Textile category. Texart inks, available in 4-color or 8-color configurations with CMYK, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Orange, Violet, as well as new Fluorescent Pink and Yellow, deliver stunning color and quality to sublimated fabric, apparel and hard goods.
