ITASCA, Ill. - Citing the enormous growth and success of the latest European Xeikon Café editions, Xeikon today announced its first Xeikon Café North America. The event, sponsored by Xeikon and its partners, will provide a unique platform for learning, knowledge exchange and networking.
Xeikon Café North America activities will take place at two venues: the Westin Chicago Northwest hotel and Xeikon’s newly-renovated demonstration facility nearby. It begins with a luncheon on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 and adjourns on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the late afternoon.
“Owners of successful printing and converting shops know how critical it is to keep up with developments in the industry, but they don’t want to spend too much time away from their businesses,” said David Wilkins, vice president, Marketing and Sales, Xeikon America, Inc. “So we are carefully formulating an agenda that provides the greatest possible amount of value in the shortest amount of time.”
The general session will feature a noted economist who will talk about trends in the market, and how printers and converters can adapt their businesses to capitalize on the emerging business opportunities. A well-known industry guru will moderate a blue-ribbon panel of brand owners, designers and corporate marketing executives—all of whom have specific needs that directly influence their selection of printers and converters.
On its second day, Xeikon Café North America will divide into two tracks: one will focus on commercial & in-plant printers; and the other will address label & packaging converters. Each track will include sessions by industry experts and leading Xeikon customers, as well as a visit to the nearby demonstration center.
A table-top partner exhibit area will offer attendees the opportunity to explore offerings from Xeikon partners who co-sponsor the event. And participants can “let their hair down” at a gala casino night.
Referencing the European Xeikon Café earlier this year, Chatzichrysos Avgerinos of For Labels, a label converter in Greece, said “This is our third time at the show, and every time we take something new away. It is important for our knowledge and education. The organization this year is very good … there are lots of interesting things to learn.”
