Clear Channel Airports, a subsidiary of New York City-based billboard and signage giant Clear Channel Outdoor, announces a new five-year exclusive deal with Bangor International Airport (BGR) in Maine.
The contract will have Clear Channel providing a comprehensive digital and print media network at the airport. The program is being installed now and will enhance the travel experience for BGR’s nearly 500,000 annual passengers by incorporating terminal-wide, state of the art advertising solutions, according to the airport.
Bangor’s airport is increasing in popularity. It provides easy access to Maine destinations such as Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor; Moosehead Lake; Katahdin (northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail) and nearby Baxter State Park; along with mid-coast and northern Maine.
In 2016, the airport hit a new record with more than 492,000 annual passengers, equaling a three percent increase over 2015 traffic. The airport is served by Allegiant, American, Delta and, seasonally, United. Year-round routes currently include LaGuardia, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Sanford/Orlando and St. Petersburg/Tampa. Additional seasonal service includes Newark, Chicago and Charlotte.
Clear Channel Airports’ new advertising program at BGR will include a new 82” LCD located at baggage claim; newly-built show cases and product cases; tension fabric displays added to all free charging stations located in gate hold areas and to the charging stations in the pre-security areas; two new large format tension fabric displays added at the American Airlines gate; two new tension fabric displays added to Allegiant Air’s gate 6; updated theming wraps in baggage claim; and a themed tension fabric display added by the ticket counters.
