Rolling Meadows, Ill – SCREEN Americas, a leading supplier of digital
inkjet printing technology for the graphic arts industry is reprising
its participation at the Digital Packaging Summit, the popular packaging
industry convocation being held in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, November
5-7, 2018.
“We’re excited to be part of this great event again,” said Mark
Schlimme, VP of Marketing for SCREEN Americas. “While the Label &
Packaging markets are going through the same pressures and changes we
see in other print markets, we see unique challenges in this segment
because of the variety of applications and solution platforms specific
to them. These challenges raise questions for decision makers – toner or
inkjet, aqueous or UV, hybrid or standalone. The Digital Packaging
Summit provides a relaxed but focused environment to have serious and
in-depth conversations with the market we serve.”
SCREEN manufactures a line of digital UV inkjet label presses that
have established a growing user base among label producers and
converters in the US and throughout the globe, now with over 100 label
presses installed. Two new models of the press were recently featured
and demonstrated at Label Expo 2018 in Chicago in September.
The Truepress Jet L350 UV+ and Truepress Jet L350 UV+LM machines both
feature SCREEN’s famous 3-picoliter drop size and four-level grayscale
technology for unmatched print quality and brilliant and wider color
gamut achieved with SCREEN’s CMYK+W+Orange inks. And their industry
leading uptime, productivity and substrate versatility are also shared
equally. The only difference? The L350UV+LM is the press equipped with
Low Migration ink capabilities for food label print production.
Many SCREEN L350UV users have found the technology’s simplicity of
use, high uptime and productivity plus unmatched quality is leading to
significant conversion of many of their label jobs from offset to
digital UV inkjet with the Truepress platform. The company believes its
“PRINT. SHIP. BILL. REPEAT.” message reflects the real profitability
that label companies are experiencing in producing prime, flexible,
durable and standard labels digitally.
SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd (SCREEN GA) also reprises its
participation at InPrint — the industrial print show taking place in
Milan, Italy, November 20-22.
InPrint, located this year at MiCo Convention Centre in Milan is the
industry's showcase for high-level expertise, cutting-edge technology,
product launches and industrial print solutions. SCREEN GA will feature
an extensive range of products and solutions (stand 1130) that aim to
show the strength of their leadership in the field of industrial inkjet
printing:
Low Migration Inks for the Label Market
SCREEN GA's
successful Truepress Jet L350UV+LM label printer features low migration
(low permeability) inks that offer unrivalled levels of functionality to
food packaging label production. The Truepress Jet L350UV+LM was
awarded 'Best Label Printer' by the European Digital Press Association
(EDP) in 2018. The printed samples of those recognized technologies are
available in our booth.
Single Pass Inkjet for Corrugated Packaging
SCREEN GP IJC
Ltd, a subsidiary of SCREEN GA, is developing the print engine
technology, which will be integrated into a BHS Corrugated Inline
Digital Print Solution. This print engine will be printing single-pass,
aqueous inks onto widths up to 2.8m wide at speeds of up to 300m/min. On
display will be a section of the print engine, as well as print samples
and an on-stand video showing the 1.6m wide single-pass technology
demonstrator in action.
High Quality for the Commercial and Publishing Markets
SCREEN
has been named an award recipient for the SCREEN Truepress Jet520HD
using SC Inks in Printing Industries of America's (PIA's) 2017 InterTech
Technology Awards. Truepress Jet520HD delivers offset quality printing
with the vibrancy and rich color gamut required for high-quality
publishing and commercial printing. Combined with SCREEN GA's specially
developed SC Inks, Truepress Jet520HD owners have the ability to print
on the same coated litho stocks that they currently use on their offset
presses without pretreatment or primer. The printed samples will be
showcased at SCREEN’s stand.
Wide-format Commercial UV Inkjet Press "Onset" Series
SCREEN
will use its stand to profile its growing range of bespoke robotic
material handling systems, which are increasingly being installed at
businesses looking for automation and productivity improvements.
Visitors to the show will also be able to see the print samples
including the metal plate with Inca Digital's Onset M B1 digital inkjet
technology. Demonstration videos will run with specialists on the stand
to answer questions and provide industry leading case studies.
