Hunkeler Innovationdays to Showcase the Next Generation of High Performance Digital Printing and Finishing
February 25-28, Lucerne, Switzerland
Andover, Mass. – In February 2019, print industry leaders and
best-in-class manufacturers will once again converge on the Messe Lucerne
exhibition center in Lucerne, Switzerland, for the 13th iteration of Hunkeler
Innovationdays, the essential industry event in high-performance digital
printing.
Innovationdays 2019 will feature groundbreaking innovations,
exciting world debuts, and a full range of practical solutions, including
Hunkeler’s own Generation 8 systems. Across two halls and four days, subject
matter experts from nearly 100 leading suppliers will present high-performance
technology for the next generation of digital printing and finishing, including
integrated quality-control systems, workflow software, and finishing materials.
Visitors will see over 40 live production solutions running a
highly diverse lineup of applications focused on commercial printing, book
production, brochure and mailing production, transactional printing, and more.
The showcase will include the latest updates to Hunkeler's Generation 8 roll
finishing, featuring plowfolding and the capability to stack B2-size sheets
in-line with high-speed inkjet presses. Also unveiled will be Hunkeler’s latest
innovations in high-efficiency, high-speed unwinders and rewinders, digital
cut-sheet finishing, integrated web monitoring, and document tracking and
reporting. Standard manufacturer Horizon will also have a large presence in the
finishing arena in partnership with Hunkeler, showing end-to-end solutions from
roll to finished product.
More than 6,000 visitors from over 50 nations traveled to Lucerne
for Innovationdays 2017, and the 2019 event will build on that success. Despite
continual growth, Innovationdays is still built around the intimate and
engaging atmosphere that has been a hallmark of the show since its inception.
“We’re really proud of the way the show has retained its unique identity,”
explained Stefan Hunkeler, President, Hunkeler AG. “Innovationdays allows
attendees to examine the latest developments in our industry in a very
concentrated way, in a compact, easy-to-navigate venue. We always push to
emphasize current trends and developments, as well as how these affect real
world production environments, so that our visitors can maximize their
opportunities to discover, learn, and share.”
